Marakele National Park

The Marakele National Park lies in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains in the transitional zone between the dry western and moister eastern regions of South Africa. The big five roam free in the 670 square kilometre reserve, and the reserve is also home to seldom seen antelope species such as reedbuck, mountain reedbuck, eland and tsessebe. Besides public rest camps and campsites such as Bontle Rest Camp and Tlopi Tented Camp, there is also a luxury offering, namely Marataba Safari Lodge, which caters for the local and international tourist alike.
