Livingstone - Zambia
Livingstone is a town in south-western Zambia, a few kilometres from the Zambezi River and the border with Zimbabwe. Named after the esteemed explorer, David Livingstone, it’s a hub for visitors to the Victoria Falls and the adjoining Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, which surrounds the Zambian side of the falls. The Livingstone Museum traces local history and archaeology. For the adventurous there are activities such as white water rafting, the Devil’s Pool, and a rhino walk in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. For those that prefer to take things easy, there are sunset cruises, dinners on the river and the Railway Museum.
