Mthethomusha Game Reserve

Mthethomusha Game Reserve embraces 8 000 hectares of unspoiled nature. Situated on the south western border of the Kruger National Park, it is home to Africa's big five as well as an exceptional array of birds. The reserve consists of a rugged terrain and a diversity of interesting ecosystems, which provide shelter to a variety of species which include kudu, giraffe, zebra, sable and nyala. Guests will experience a cultural reawakening with guided nature walks, whilst exploring the wealth of San rock art sites located in the area. Walk the ancient paths once used by the San people, with over 250 recorded San rock art sites. Estimated to be 1 500 years old, this is the greatest concentration of recorded rock art per square metre on earth.
