Children's Policy No children under the age of 6 are permitted on game drives. We will endeavour to take them on a bush bumble drive subject to availability. Children over 6 are permitted on game drives at the sole discretion of the ranger. Children 2 – 12 years are charged at 50% of the adult sharing rate when sharing with two adults, whilst children under 2 years are free of charge. Children over 12 years are considered adults and pay the full adult rate.
Directions Directions from Johannesburg:
Travel from Johannesburg past Lanseria Airport towards Hartebeespoort Dam. There suggested routes is either William Nicol or Hans Strydom roadways. Travel for 17.2 kilometres (10.7 miles) until you reach the T-junction of Broederstroom and turn left. After 29.7 kilometres (18.5 miles) follow the signs to Sun City and turn right taking the bridge over the dam.

After 31.6 kilometres (19.6 miles) you will approach a stop street, turn right here. Travel for 35.5 kilometres (22.1 miles) until you reach a 4 way stop and turn left. This takes you past Chameleon Village. Travel for 40.7 kilometres (25.3 miles) and follow the signs to Brits N4 Rustenburg taking you to the N4.

Once on the toll road, take the first off ramp for Pilanesberg/Sun City. Turn right over the highway continuing to Sun City. You will go through at least four 4 way stops. After 105 kilometres (65.2 miles) follow the brown 'Ivory Lodge' sign at the 4 way stop with the Golden Era sign off to the right, turn right to Northam on the R510. Continue along this road until you pass an industrial area on your left. Soon after you should turn left and follow the brown 'Ivory Lodge' sign to Mogwase and Pilanesberg. After 131.4 kilometres (81.6 miles) you will reach a second stop street with a Caltex garage on the corner. Turn right to Pilanesberg, Manyane and Bakgatla Gates and follow the brown; Ivory Lodge' sign. Turn left to Bakgatla Gate and George Stegman Hospital. Continue along this road which will take you to the Lodge driveway in North West Province, South Africa.
